The commercial production of KIIDC’s bottled drinking water under the brand name ‘Hilly Aqua’ was inaugurated on the 24th August 2015. The plant is unique as it is the only untouched drinking water purified and bottled by sourcing 100%surface water from the reservoir of Malankara dam in Idukki district. The streams of Western Ghats with the goodness of nature make Hilly Aqua tasty and healthy. The ISO 22000:2018 Certified Company is situated near Malankara Dam, Thodupuzha , Idukki district. The pure potable water reaches various parts of Kerala through distributors which includes the food chain of various Prisons in Kerala. The 1000ml bottles are marketed by the Jail units at Rs.10 only. An outlet was opened at the factory premises in Thodupuzha where the bottles are sold at Rs.10 only.
