Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as per the letter No. 13(03) 2015- SD, dated 15.12.2015, have accorded formal sanction for the project ‘Development of Pathanamihitta-Gavi-Vagamon-Thekkady as Ecotourism circuit in Pathauamthitta and Idukki districts in Kerala under Swadesh Darshan Scheme, the scheme proposed by Government of India, at an estimated cost 9921.87 lakhs. Government of India have also released Rs. 1984.37 lakhs (Rupees Nineteen Crores Eighty Four Lakhs and Thirty Seven Thousand only) i.e, 20% of the total Central financial assistance as first installment for starting the work, to the State Government Head of Account “3452-80-800-76 infrastructure facilities and matching grants for schemes sponsored by Government of India.
In continuation to this, Administrative Sanction was accorded by the Tourism Department vide its order G.O.(Rt) No.l79/2016/TSM Dated 15.04.2016 for the project ‘Development of Pathanamthitta – Gavi – Vagamon Thekkady Ecotourism Circuit in Pathanamthitta and Idukki Districts in Kerala under Swadesh Darshan Scheme’ at an estimated cost of Rs. 9921.87 lakhs with the following components.

Subsequently the Department of Tourism vide their letter No. P3-1616/2016 dated 11.04.2016 have informed KIIDC that the Department intends to entrust the following components to KIIDC are detailed below:

An MOU has already been executed between Department of Tourism and KIIDC for executing the works.
As part of the implementation of the above works tenders were invited under e- tender system. Both the works are complete including furnishing the interior, The complete work has been executed with teakwood.
