As per the Government Order GO (Rt) No.1110/2015/WRD dated 19/12/2015 Government have accorded sanction for the Action Plan of the Muvattupuzha Valley Irrigation Project for the year 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, wherein Rs.49 lakh is provided for the work MVIP “Formation of Manjoor Distributary pipe line crossing at 42/700- 800 km between Kuruppanthara and Ettumanoor Railway Station”. As per the letter No.WP2/7025/2005/D5 dated 15/10/2015 from the Chief Engineer Project II, Thiruvananthapuram, the Chief Engineer Project II has submitted an Estimate to Government, for the above said work , prepared based on DSR 2014 for an amount of Rs.51,00,000/- , according to the decision taken in the meeting held on 16/07/2015 .
As per the Government Order GO(Rt) No.104/2016/WRD dated 05/02/2016 Government have accorded Revised Administrative Sanction for the work MVIP “Formation of Manjoor Distributery pipe line crossing at 42/700-800 km between Kuruppanthara and Ettumanoor Railway Station’ for an amount of Rs.51 lakh (Rupees Fifty One lakh only) , which the rates are worked out based on CPWD data and DSR 2014 with latest cost index for Kottayam District @ 46.67%.
In his Letter No.WP2/682/2014/D5(5) dated 15/03/2016 from the Chief Engineer , Project II , Thiruvananthapuram, the Chief Engineer Project II has informed that the Government agencies like Roads and Bridges Corporation, KITCO etc are not willing to take up the above work and the Kerala Irrigation Infrastructure Development Corporation (KIIDC) has expressed their willingness to execute the said work . Therefore the Chief Engineer Project II has requested to entrust the work to KIIDC, for the successful and timely completion of the project.
Subsequently based on the estimate proposal submitted from KIIDC, Government had accorded revised administrative sanction for the work for Rs. 58,50,000.00 vide order G O (Rt) No. 115 / 2017 / WRD dated 13.02.2017.
Based on this KIIDC had prepared the estimates and the technical sanction was issued. The work was tendered under e-tender system with estimate PAC as Rs. 53,21,375.00 on 23.02.2017. The tender was opened and two bidders have quoted for the work and the work was awarded to the lowest bidder and the work is now complete.
