Government vide its order G.O.(Rt) No.5749/2013/TSM dated 12.07.2013.has sanctioned Rs. 1225.25 lakh for undertaking the work “ Development of Backwater Circuit in Alapuzha in backwater region as a mega circuit in Kerala – Night Halt Centre at Vattakayal West”. The work is complete.

Kayamkulam House Boat Terminal
The Government vide its order G.O.(Rt) No. 5749/2013/TSM dated 12/07/2013 have entrusted KIIDC with the job of development of some destinations in Alleppey District as part of facilitating facilities to tourists plying in house boats. As part of this an area near Kayamkulam is to be developed as a boat terminal centre for houseboats where the house boats can dock with the tourists during day time as well as night.
