Development of Backwater Circuits in Alappuzha Backwater region as a mega circuit in Kerala

PROJECTS OF ALAPPUZHA MEGA CIRCUIT

The Department of Tourism has prepared a master plan for the Development of Tourism in the Alappuzha District and the Ministry of Tourism, GOI has sanctioned Rs. 47.62 crores and the state share of the project is Rs. 4.63 crores. The GoI has released an amount of Rs. 238.12 lakhs being 5% of the CFA as 1st instalment as an advance for starting the work as per letter dated 13.05.2013.

As per the order G O (Rt) No. 5749 / 2013 / TSM dated 12. 07. 2013 of Tourism Department, Government have accorded Administrative Sanction for the Development of Backwater Circuits in Alappuzha Backwater region as a mega circuit in Kerala at an estimated cost of Rs. 5225.11 lakhs and ordered that the works shall be executed through KIIDC and KITCO.

The agreement was executed between KIIDC and Tourism Department for the works listed below amounting to Rs. 2,943.37 lakh  ( Rs. Twenty Nine  Crore  Forty Three Lakh Thirty Seven Thousand  only).
